Sea Turtle

I had planned on painting this sea turtle for quite awhile. The feeling when I finally painted it was sweet and savoury. The colours came out beautifully. The subject of a sea turtle was something I yearned to paint since having a chance to swim with these majestic creatures in the Bahamas many years ago. I played with complimentary colours and vocal points to make the turtle come alive for the viewer. This painting has inspired me to do a series of paintings of sea creatures.
